Santorini, Greece

The island life has treated us well! It poured the first afternoon/night and was so stormy we didn't have power for 12 hours but yesterday made up for it. We went on the most beautiful 3hr hike (Fira to Oia) I have ever been on - have included some photos to try and show how incredible it was but they never do it justice. Santorini was initially a circular island but in 1650 BC the volcano in the middle exploded (largest explosion known to date by a volcano) and the whole middle part of the island sunk and was filled in by the sea. What remains is a moon shaped island that has these incredible cliffs and volcanic rock formations.
